Are fashion and sustainability a paradox? Can they even exist in the same sentence? How do we remain fashionable but also put the planet first? Can small changes make a real difference to the climate crisis? So many questions on this topic! We ask Susannah Jaffer, founder of Zerrin; Sera Murphy, founder of The Reoutfitter and Jasmine Tuan, founder of Cloop, to help us discuss this topic in a short panel discussion. Launchpad Singapore Community Manager Megha Singh will moderate this session.
And then it gets really interesting! Sera, Susannah and Jasmine will lead small group breakout sessions and help you with your personal styling. If you are keen, bring a piece of clothing that you bought recently that you haven’t worn – and these fashionistas will share with you why this was a ‘fashion failure’ and how to avoid it in future. This is a hands-on real fashion advice workshop that is going to have you walking away with the knowledge of what suits you, your personal style keywords, and what you need to invest in to make your fashion purchases more sustainable.
As this is our first IRL event, it will be a great opportunity for you to meet other Launchers in person, get educated in the space of sustainability and fashion and take home awesome fashion styling advice!

Jasmine Tuan
Jasmine Tuan is the founder of a circular fashion initiative Cloop (short for closing the fashion loop) and Associate Marketing Director at Zero Waste Singapore. A former self-confessed fashion addict, now secondhand advocate who has learned to love living with less and has found inner peace through decluttering her life (and closet!) of all things non-essential. Over her career, she has worked for her own boutique brand consultancy, Brandmama, co-owned a fashion concept store called Blackmarket, and was a media designer for Singapore nightclub Zouk. Her current personal goal is to own less and fit bare minimum essentials into a 7kg duffle bag. Recently, she has also started a mini edible garden as well as composting at the HDB corridor.
Sera Murphy
Sera Murphy aka The Reoutfitter is a personal stylist who focuses on sustainability – sustainability for the environment but also for her clients. It isn’t sustainable for clients to continue trying new looks that don’t work for them, or to continue to wear clothes that don’t quite fit into their changing bodies or lifestyles. With 15 years of experience in retail buying, and as a mum of two with seven international moves under her belt, Sera understands and ‘gets’ what purchases will get the best bang for your buck, and last for years! Sera offers two services. The Closet Reoutfit is just around your existing wardrobe, while The Full Reoutfits – her most popular service – is wardrobe plus shopping.
