Join us for a very special night as Launchpad heads back to the Else Hotel! Our founder Chris Edwards will be hosting an intimate chat with Shin Tseng, Architect and Co-Founder, REXKL / Urban Agenda Design Group to discover how he is aligning his business goals with fostering culture and building communities – to rejuvenate and revitalise entire areas of downtown Kuala Lumpur. We’ll dive deep into his vision, his processes, his challenges and how he is making it all work.
But what’s an Ask Party you say? At Launchpad’s signature Ask Party, we welcome members to network while wearing their ask, literally on their sleeve, thus inviting insights, advice and maybe even solutions! Through being more vulnerable, stepping out of your comfort zone, and having genuine and real conversations about things you need – making this not just another networking event, but a night where you receive real help from peers, mentors and other entrepreneurs who have walked in your shoes.
Don’t miss this evening of connection, inspiration and learning – drinks and nibbles included!

Shin Tseng
Architect and Co-Founder, REXKL / Urban Agenda Design Group
Malacca-born Tseng graduated from The Bartlett School of Architecture, London, with a Master’s degree, and worked in London and Hong Kong before returning to Malaysia. He gained design experience in urban planning, hospitality, mixed-use development and adaptive re-use.
In 2017, he partnered with fellow architect Shin Chang to re-purpose and revive the old Rex Cinema into a creative space, complete with a multi-purpose venue for events plus an all-day urban food hall and sustainable marketplace. Many attribute REXKL as the catalyst of Petaling Street’s recent transformation that’s seeing more restaurants and bars popping up in the area. Up next for him is a new set of rejuvenation projects to transform downtown Kuala Lumpur.
