About the speaker: Jane Martino
Jane Martino has built multiple organisations to successful exit across the media, martech, fintech and digital health sectors. As well as delivering strong outcomes for shareholders, she focuses on building high performing teams, knowing the key to growing successful businesses is growing their people.
Martino’s experience includes founding and exiting Undertow Media (now Bastion Amplify following its sale to the Bastion Group in 2009), and digital platform Shout which was acquired by ANZ Bank in 2015 where she subsequently held the role of Head of Social Segment. She was also Director at Melbourne Football Club from 2015–2020.
As a passionate supporter and participant in the Australian start up ecosystem, she is also an investor and advisor to high profile start-ups including Kic, Expert360, Own Home and Learna. Martino was an early stage investor and advisor at Unlockd, eventually leading the business as CEO.
Jane is also Chair and Co-founder of the globally recognised health tech platform Smiling Mind that delivers online Mindfulness Meditation programs to young people. Smiling Mind is Australia’s #1 mental health app with more than 8 million users of its individual program and the education program utilised in two thirds of schools across the country.
She was Portfolio Advisor and on the Investment Committee of Commonwealth Bank’s x15 ventures, assisting the country’s largest bank with its digital innovation strategy via venture development, investment and acquisition from 2020-2022. In addition, she continues to consult to fast growth tech companies from Seed – Series C stage such as Linktree, Kic and Gurner Group’s Saint Haven.
In 2024, Martino launched her coaching business Kintsugi Way where she works with Founders, Executives and Leadership teams to further develop and flourish across all aspects of their lives.
