We’re excited to bring you a first for Launchpad, a clothes swapping event, hosted in partnership with The Conscious Lizzy, Amrita’s Artisan Bakeology, and Susannah Jaffer, founder of Zerrin!
Join us for an evening of sustainable fashion fun as you browse, swap and connect in a relaxed and feminine environment. Whether you’ve been curious about clothes swapping or are an experienced thrift shopper, this event is for you.
Expect to meet like-minded founders who are conscious about their fashion choices and want to make a more positive impact on the planet. You’ll be in good company as you exchange your pre-loved, high-quality clothes for new-to-you treasures brought by fellow attendees.
How it works
Bring 5-10 outfits you no longer wear. They must all be good quality & clean.
– A dress counts as one outfit.
– A top must be paired with a skirt / shorts / trousers to be one complete outfit.
– The first person to buy her ticket will get the first look & be able to choose some outfits to try on.
Open to ladies only, all sizes welcome.
Rules
1. NO SHEIN – This ultra-fast fashion brand will not be accepted at this swap (and should be banned everywhere)!
2. Activewear, accessories, shoes and bags will not be counted as your ‘outfits’ but are ok to bring as extras if you want to find them a new home.
Please note: If you do not follow these rules, you will be asked to leave, sorry not sorry!
Agenda
6:30pm – 7:30pm – Doors open! Welcome drinks, clothes check, and display of all the amazing preloved items.
7:30pm – 8:30pm – Swapping starts. Whoever buys their tickets first will get the first look and choose some outfits to try on. Meanwhile others will drink, eat & get to know each other!
8:30pm – 9:00pm – We will be offering an open mic. If you would like to share your business, a project or have an ask for the group, this is your chance.
Ticket includes:
Sparkling wine, non-alcoholic drinks, vegan food by Lush Platters and delicious cake from Amrita’s Artisan Bakeology.
