A great brand doesn’t just stand out, it leaves an indelible mark on the world. So how do you create a brand that is truly memorable, has talk-ability, and leaves a lasting impact? Our next Ask Party in Singapore digs into what it takes to do just that. Let’s not just create brands, but let’s create brands that stand the test of time.
Our expert panel of entrepreneurs has created and worked for brands like Iris, Kingfisher, Carrie K, Kilo, Grain Traders and (Malaysian based) ELSE Hotels. Honeycombers & Launchpad Founder, Chris Edwards, will also be joining from Australia to moderate the panel and to share her learnings (and also she just wants to see as many Launchies as possible!)
Tickets include dinner & drinks. Don’t miss this one.
Have you not been to an Ask Party (and wondering what the heck they are)?
At Launchpad, we believe that in order to get the most out of a networking event, you need to step into the uncomfortable, get a little bit vulnerable – and let people know what you need. AKA – you need to ask. At our signature Ask Party, on arrival, you will be prompted to share on your nametag or lanyard ‘How can the community help you? – and to write down your ‘ask’. It’s a great conversation starter. Don’t have an ask? That’s ok, you can share what you can give instead.
Psst. If you want more networking tips, members can catch the Masterclass recording of How to Get $100k of Value from Your Network – it’s free for members, just go to our member resource library.
About the panel
Carolyn Kan
Founder/Designer, Carrie K.
Carolyn Kan has lived many lives. From a high-flyer in advertising to debuting Carrie K. to rising up as a champion advocate of the local designer scene, she doesn’t shy away from new challenges and aspirations. Her journey in the world of jewellery started in 2009 when she shed her past life to start her brand. And she’s never looked back since. Now, stepping into 50, she’s leading the charge in the evolution of Carrie K where they create modern heirlooms that hold meaningful stories captured in artisan crafted jewellery.
Javier Perez
Founder, Grain Traders, ELSE Hotel & Coop Coop
Every creative has a medium, for Javier, it’s creating enduring experiences.
This fixation started from a young age when he witnessed friends run a well-loved neighbourhood restaurant. He realised how intention and recognition could elevate a meal in ways that transcended just food and drink. He dreamt of one day being able to host, entertain and bring joy to large groups of people. This ambition took a young man, born and raised in Puerto Rico, through multiple stints in the service industry which culminated in the pursuit of a hospitality degree in Switzerland.
With his dream in tow, he set off into the unknown and spent the last decade in South East Asia nurturing a growing following for original concepts – Kilo, Raw Kitchen and Grain Traders. These brands have been a cornerstone for culture and community in the markets they reside in, delivering purposeful experiences that challenge the status quo.
ELSE, his latest undertaking, is one rooted in wellness and exploration, with a strong sense of purpose, authenticity, intention and enhancement.
Javier was featured on the Good Business Podcast, it’s one of our favourite interviews, so make sure to have a listen now!
